The 1st Pennsylvania Regiment, also known as The Pennsylvania Rifle Regiment and 1st Continental Regiment, was raised under the command of Col. William Thompson for service in the Pennsylvania Line of the Continental Army.

The Continental Flag is believed to have been carried at the Battle of Bunker Hill.
